Office Closure Notice:  The Port Huron Township offices will be closing at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2017 for off-site staff training.

Public Meeting - Bakers Field Park:  Port Huron Charter Township will be hosting a Public Meeting on our Bakers Field Park Improvements Project Monday, May 6 at 7pm at the Township office.  The Township is submitting an MDNR Trust Fund Grant to: extend the existing pathway, install benches and waste receptacles, and a butterfly garden along this pathway, a Universally Accessible picnic table near the canoe/kayak launch, and 2 wayfinding interpretive signs for the designated water trail.  We hope you can attend this meeting!

Summer Student Help Wanted - St. Clair County Road Commission:  The St. Clair County Road Commission is accepting applications for summer help at various facilities and departments.  Some examples of duties are mowing, flagging and general maintenance duties.  Ideal candidates will be college students 18 plus years of age and must possess a strong work ethic.  Applications will be accepted through May 12, 2017.  A full job description and applications are available at the Road Commission's Central Service Center located at 21 Airport Road, St. Clair, MI or on their website  Drug test required.  EOE.

Port Huron Township Yard Waste:  Yard waste pickup in Port Huron Township will begin on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Yard waste must be at the curb no later than 7:00 am on your regular trash collection day.  Customers may use paper yard waste bags or containers up to 35-gallons with proper sticker facing the street (50 lb weight limit).  Stickers, which state "Yard Waste" are available at the Township Hall for 35-gallon containers.  No plastic bags.

Yard waste materials include grass clippings, leaves, weeds, prunings, garden and fruit waste, incidental dirt from edging and planting, small sticks, and branches up to 4 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter.  Bundle brush or branches that are 4 incest in diameter or less in 3 - 4 foot long bundles with string.  Please ensure bundles weight less than 50 lbs and are no larger than 18 inches around.  Yard waste mixed with rubbish cannot be collected.

Waste Management cannot accept branches over 4 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter, stumps, shrubs with root balls and dirt, large quantities of dirt, sand, gravel, pet waste, plastic bags with yard waste, etc.
