Township Alerts Minimize

Boat for Sale by Sealed Bid:  15' 2000 Smokercraft Aluminum Boat 25 HP Mercury Outboard and Shoreland Trailer.  Minimum bid is $3,000.  The boat is available for inspection at the Port Huron Township Fire Department, 3848 Lapeer Road, Port Huron, MI.  Call for an appointment at (810) 982-3543.  The Charter Township of Port Huron reserves the right to refuse any or all bids submitted.  Bids must be received by 5:00 pm EDT on August 4, 2017.

Liqui-Force:  Liqui-Force is once again in the Township to clean and camera the Township sewers. They will be in the Township for the next several weeks.  Please contact the office at (810) 987-6600 should you have any concerns.

Adoption of Ordinances:  The following ordinances were adopted on June 19th, 2017. Copies of the ordinances are available for inspection or purchase at the Township Hall of the Charter Township of Port Huron, 3800 Lapeer Road, Port Huron, MI 48060, 810-987-6600 during regular posted hours. A complete copy may also be reviewed here on our website at www.porthurontownship.org. These ordinances will go into effect July 5th, 2017.

 Section 40-619 Schedule of Height Regulations: This ordinance increases the allowable building height of structures from 2 ½ stories to 5 stories in specific districts.

 Section 40-699 Livestock: The ordinance as originally passed needed the dates required for the submittal of information to the Planning Commission to be revised for better efficiency.

 Section 40-786 Commercial and Recreational Vehicle Parking: This ordinance provides clearer definitions and specifications for the regulation of the parking and use of these types of vehicles primarily in residential districts.

 Section 40-854 Mixed Uses: This ordinance increases the allowable amount of mixed uses in both B-3, General Business and I-Light Industrial from 30% and/or 1000 Sq. ft. to 40% in each, along with Special Use Approval requirements and use restrictions.

 Section 40-666 Accessory Buildings and Structures and Schedule of Regulations: This ordinance increases the allowable size of attached and detached accessory structures and provides more specific regulations regarding the number and type permitted.
