Griswold Road between Allen Road to I-69 Business Loop
Starting June 13, 2022.
Construction on Griswold Road from Allen Road to I-69 business loop is scheduled to
being on June 13, 2022.
Work will include milling and resurfacing the existing asphalt, placing aggregate
shoulders, pavement markings and reconstruction of the railroad crossing.
Work between Michigan Road and 32nd Street will be completed under a full closure for
approximately one week. The posted detour route will use Michigan Road, north to
Lapeer Road, West to 32nd Street, and then south to Griswold Road.
Work between Allen Road to Michigan Road will be completed under daytime lane
closure.
Access will be maintained to local traffic within the construction and closure zone,
including homes and businesses, during the closure. Local residents and emergency
vehicles will have access to local properties throughout the entire project. Local residents
are encouraged to plan for delays due to construction. We request your cooperation and
patience.
Construction is expected to approximately 2 weeks. All scheduling and project dates are
subject to change depending on weather and the contractor’s schedule.
This project is financed by the Federal Highway Administration and St. Clair County
Road Commission at a total estimated construction cost of $397,784.25. Ace-Saginaw
Paving Company is the prime contractor.
